Here’s a breakdown of the categories the NDIS won’t fund:

🏠 Day-to-Day Living Costs	Rent, mortgage, bills, furniture, whitegoods, utilities
💼 Finance & Legal	Donations, fines, insurance, superannuation, debts, legal fees, business costs
🛒 Food & Groceries	General groceries, takeaway, food delivery (unless pre-approved)
🎉 Lifestyle & Entertainment	Gambling, smoking, phones, computers, gym memberships, events
👗 Clothing & Beauty	Non-adaptive clothing, jewellery, tattoos, cosmetic services, hair/nails
🚗 Travel & Vehicles	Holidays, fuel, registration, vehicle purchase/maintenance, non-compliant devices
🐾 Pets	All pet costs unless the animal is a funded assistance animal
🧬 Reproductive Health	Fertility treatments, surrogacy
🔮 Alternative Therapies	Crystal healing, tarot, reiki, aromatherapy, yoga therapy
🧘 Wellness & Coaching	Life coaching, hypnotherapy, sports supplements, non-clinical massage
⚡ Energy & Healing Practices	Shamanic healing, frequency therapy, scalar lounges
🏥 Health Services	Medical treatments, pharmaceuticals, hospital care, diagnostics, emergency services
🧠 Mental Health	Hospital-based services, addiction treatment, prescription drugs
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Child & Family Services	Babysitting, parenting programs, marriage counselling, OOHC services
🎓 Education & Employment	Tuition fees, uniforms, employer obligations, general education costs
🏘 Housing & Infrastructure	Standard housing, homelessness services, mobile homes, social housing upgrades
🚉 Public Transport	Fares, concessions, infrastructure, airline lounge access
⚖️ Justice System	Custody supervision, psychological reports, secure accommodation for offenders
👵 Aged Care	Services covered under the Aged Care Act, aged care accommodation and health care
🚫 Unlawful or Non-Compliant Items	Illegal goods, uncertified modifications, weapons, seclusion rooms
💰 Income Replacement	Rent subsidies, income support, top-ups
❗ Prohibited Services	Sexual services, alcohol, drugs, or anything breaching state/federal laws
